  1. I LOVED no one leaves the castle. It’s genuinely unpredictable. I wish I could say exactly what I found so funny and unpredictable, but I don’t want to spoil it for others. I am an aspiring writer and I have already written a couple plays that were performed. How do you write a good murder mystery? Like how do you come up with all the clues? Do you have to write it in reverse order or something like that?

PS, Are you going to write more Lilac mysteries? I loved it so much. I will send you some art I was making while listening to it.

    1. Thanks! Writing a good mystery is tough. I don’t write them in reverse, but I definitely do plan them out in advance, so that when I start writing, I already know the solution to the mystery and can plant the clues I want along the way. That’s what I’m doing right now as I write the Lilac’s next supersleuth outing! PS: Yes, please send your artwork!

  2. hey! a reader from the uk here! just wanted to say that i adore the heros guide series, (currently reading them as part of a book club! we’re halfway through book 2!) and i absolutely love the cast of characters. keep doing what ya do! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. hi! milo here again! just wondering, how would i send over a few heros guide doodles? also, how do you manage to write such likeable characters? there is not a single character in this series that i do not like, theyre all so great!!! (ps. my favourites are briar and frederic, theyre so fun)

    1. Hi, Milo! Please send me your doodles! The easiest way would be to scan them and email them to chris@christopherhealy.com. Or, if you really want to send me hard copies, mail them to me at P.O. Box 507, Maplewood NJ 07040 USA. As to how I write likeable characters? I guess I just write characters I like and hope other people like them as well. By the way, it made me so happy to hear that Briar is one of your favorites. She’s one of my favorites, too, but I rarely hear other people mention her as a fave.
